MEL'S NOTES
We love to cater events, for all kinds of clients from MNCs, banks, to government bodies, boutiques and more. Our most popular offerings are these canapés. People seem to can't get enough. Even if we are catering for lunch or dinner with enough hot food offerings in chafing dishes and all, clients always made sure to order enough of these canapés. They come in our colourful boxes and are ready to be served to your most discerning guests. Sautéed Mushrooms & Emmental Tarts - made with a all-butter puff pastry base and filled with sautéed mixed mushrooms and topped with the cheese with holes - emmental. Moroccan-spiced Tomato Relish with Feta - made with all-butter puff pastry, slow cooked tomatoes with sweet, mild spices and topped with crumbled feta. Balsamic Caramelised Onion & Brie Tart - we make kilos of these caramelised onions, they take forever to cook down into this umami-rich, glossy strands of sweated, sweet onions. We then fill our all-butter puff pastry tart shell with it and top it off with brie and it's really unfair that you chomp this down in what, 5 seconds? Roasted Red Pepper Dip with Crostini - bold flavours from roasted red peppers, punctuated with some middle eastern spices and toasted almonds. Drizzled with olive oil, this dip is pure sunshine and comes with little crisp crostinis to dip and scoop with! Chicken Mango Salsa - the flavour combinations here are just 💋 chef's kiss! The mango salsa is made with fresh and ripe mangoes along with other obligatory salsa ingredients such as chopped red onions, lime juice, coriander and the like. Icing on this baby is of course the HOT SAUCE that is sprinkled on the salsa. Chicken Sriracha with Carrot Slaw - another HOT favourite in the canapé category. These spicy creamy chicken is topped with our gut-friendly carrot slaw, making this a spicy, tangy and sweet chicken canapé that go perfectly on the little crostinis provided. Smoked Salmon Dill Cream Cheese - the most popular option in this category because norwegian smoked salmon and dill cream cheese is a no brainer. We even top it with some house-pickled shallots for a lovely contrast. Hot Tuna Melts - Irresistibly delicious, I mean this is a true tuna melt, because I have eaten tuna melts where there was not much melt and it was highly disturbing. So this here is how we like it, fresh, creamy, melty and a little spicy, thanks to the chilli flakes on top ! Mushroom, Spinach & Emmental Quiche - I classify quiche as a genteel food - it could've been just, you know, an omelette but nooo, the French of course made their little buttery crusts for the omelette and here we are. This quiche is trust me, bro delicious. Cherry Tomato & Feta Quiche - imagine juicy cherry tomatoes, bursting with flavours after having been slow-cooked with thyme in our creamy savoury egg custard. Topped with crumbly feta for maximum yumminess! Smoked Salmon & Emmental Quiche - love how the smokiness of the salmon elevates the savoury egg custard to become l'extraordinaire ✨. With sharp emmental cheese to keep things très intéressant. Hummus Dip with Crostini - we make this chickpea dip in house, in case you're wondering. Granted it wasn't always the case but once we got the right ingredients and the right techniques, we never looked back. Creamy, rich and delicious, with a drizzle of olive oil.
