MEL'S NOTES
I am a total sandwich girl! This comes to no surprise because I love bread! I mean I am Asian, though and through and rice is life! But every now and again, more often than not, I need to eat a sandwich! I came up with this variety of sandwiches using some my favourite things - aioli, caramelised onions, a variety of cheeses, pickled vegetables, to name a few. A good sandwich has a good balance of flavours. You need a good spread, good quality protein and the little surprises in between that make a huge impact on the overall taste and bite! Our sandwiches are made using freshly-baked ciabatta bread–it is soft on the inside and a little crusty on the outside. It is a hardworking bread and stays presentable and in shape, with no chance of things getting soggy. I find our ciabatta to be the ideal canvas for all our sandwiches! I love eating it on its own too! You simply cannot go wrong with any of these sandwiches and let me apologise in advance for getting you into a stump when it comes to decision-making. I know! They all sound soo good! But wait till you taste them!
